Hi, I'm Jason.
My name is Jason. I was the skinny one — always. The kid who ate everything and stayed a stick.
I came to Toronto alone at 15 — barely spoke English, no friends, no guidance, had to figure everything out myself. Desperate to fit in the new culture and make a change, I landed on bodybuilding with zero idea what I was doing in the gym.
There was no guide available, so I did it the only way I knew — try something, run it, watch what my body said back, adjust. Ten years of that. Eight of them actually training. All natural: protein powder and creatine, nothing else.
I built to my biggest, lost it during lockdown, cut it back down, and built again. Every phase taught me the same thing: the plan was never the hard part. Knowing which question to ask next was.
This handbook doesn't take the trial and error out — that is the method. You'll still be running it, on your own body, because that's the only way anyone finds out what actually works for them. What it takes out is the aimlessness: the years I spent guessing what to try next, in what order, and how to read what came back. Not my program — you don't want my program, you have a different body. What you get is the sequence of questions, in the order that works, so an AI can coach you through your own trial and error the way I had to coach myself.
If it worked on a frame genetics didn't hand me, it can work on yours.
I'm a certified personal trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association.
